Riley played six college seasons — three at Middle Tennessee, three at Louisville — and produced ball skills at every stop. He finished with 157 tackles, 34 pass breakups, fifteen interceptions and two defensive touchdowns, including a five-interception season in 2021 and a ten-breakup year for the Cardinals in 2023.
The Combine backed the tape's best trait. At 5-10 and 194 pounds he ran 4.48 with a 1.54 ten-yard split and a 6-3 wingspan on 31-inch arms, which is enough length for a boundary corner in that height range. The agility work went unrecorded, and the tape suggests it would not have flattered him.
He is a scheme-specific evaluation. In press-man and Cover 3 he plays fast, trusts his hands and takes the football away; asked to play off-coverage and drive on quick outs, the transition burst becomes the deciding factor and completions come underneath. Six years of college football is also six years of production against increasingly good competition, which is worth something a Combine does not measure. He projects as a No. 3 corner who starts in three-safety and dime looks, with real upside if he lands somewhere that presses every down.
