Harris plays with range and anticipation from depth. He reads the quarterback's eyes cleanly from a single-high alignment, he takes efficient angles across the field, and he closes on the football rather than drifting into a tackle. His 2024 tape at Cal shows a defender who is almost always in the right place.

Harris spent his early years at Kansas before finishing at California, and his one full healthy season is the one that got him drafted: 44 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions and five pass breakups in 13 games in 2024.
The instincts are the trait. He processes route distributions quickly and plays with the anticipation of someone who has seen a lot of football, and his angles in the deep third are consistently clean.
