Alignment-versatile interior defender who played every technique from 0 to 5 in Rutgers' front as a penetrator more than a two-gap anchor. He is explosive out of his stance, shooting the near gap and getting into a blocker's chest before the hand fight starts, and his wrestling background shows in the hand fighting: heavy grip, quick counters, rarely turned.
Against the run he holds the point with density and plays with a wide base, and he is disciplined stacking down blocks on the back side. As a rusher he wins with power and stunt timing more than bend; there is no true finishing burst and the production stayed modest until his senior year. Hamilton's rookie year ended before it started. On July 30, 2025, in his first Texans training camp, he broke his ankle during team drills, was carted off in an air cast and needed surgery with a roughly four-month timeline. Houston placed him on injured reserve and signed Marlon Davidson in his place. He did not appear in a regular-season game as a rookie, so there is no professional tape to grade — only the fact that the organization kept him through the year and carried him into 2026 as a second-year defensive tackle on the active roster behind an interior group that has kept turning over.
