"Ayomanor is a high-upside developmental prospect, an ideal big-bodied outside receiver whose fluid acceleration and strong hands offer an intriguing foundation if he can consistently leverage his frame against NFL cornerbacks."Pre-draft read
Ayomanor plays bigger than his listed frame. He attacks the football at its highest point, catches away from his body with 10-inch hands, and finishes through contact on the boundary — the 294-yard game against Colorado in 2023 was a clinic against a first-round corner. He accelerates smoothly into vertical stems and is a willing blocker in the run game.
The refinement is the gap. He rounds off breaks, gives away intentions with his stem speed, and struggles to separate on the timing routes NFL offenses live on. Drops appear when he tries to run before securing, and his release package against press is more effort than technique. Most of the college production came on a diet of go balls and back-shoulder throws.
Spread RPO passing and run-heavy formations utilizing blocking receivers, emphasizing quick decision-making and versatile personnel to create mismatches.
Immediate special teams contributor with a developmental path to a reliable, tough X-receiver, eventually capable of handling a significant target share.
A traditional West Coast timing scheme that demands precise route breaks and fluid movement from every receiver from day one.
Ayomanor's combination of size, speed, and willingness to block makes him an adaptable fit for offensive schemes that value physicality in their receiving corps.

Ayomanor redshirted in 2022 after a knee injury and then produced immediately, catching 62 passes for 1,013 yards and six touchdowns in 2023 and 63 for 831 and six more in 2024 — 125 receptions, 1,844 yards and 12 scores in 24 career games. The 2023 Colorado game, 13 catches for a school-record 294 yards, remains the defining tape. He also won the Jon Cornish Trophy as the top Canadian in college football.
The testing confirmed the athlete. At 6-2 and 206 pounds he ran 4.44 with a 1.58 ten-yard split, jumped 38½ inches and 10-7, and put up 15 reps on the bench. That is a legitimate X-receiver athletic profile, and it explains why the vertical and contested tape looks the way it does. Kent Lee Platte never published an official RAS.
The evaluation is about polish, not tools. He was the entire passing game at a bad Stanford team, which inflated the target share and hid how little of the route tree he actually ran. A fourth-round grade prices in a year of technical development — release work, break discipline, hands consistency — against a genuine chance of becoming an outside starter. Tennessee taking him to pair with a rookie quarterback is a bet on the frame and the ball skills.

Big outside starter who lives on vertical and red-zone targets without a full route tree.
Physical boundary receiver whose contested work makes him a 100-target primary target.
Athletic frame receiver who never refines the separation and settles as a rotational third option.
Everything above is the pre-draft evaluation. This section is what actually happened — updated year over year.
Tennessee did not wait. Ayomanor opened the season as a starter alongside Calvin Ridley and Tyler Lockett and stayed healthy, finishing with 41 receptions for 515 yards and four touchdowns.
That is a real rookie year for a fourth-round receiver, and it settles the availability question that the 2022 knee injury raised. The 12.6 yards per catch is the honest part of the ledger: he was used as a possession and red-zone target more than the vertical weapon the Combine numbers suggested, which is what happens when the release package and break discipline are still unfinished. The floor was always a physical boundary starter, and he has reached it in twelve months. Whether he becomes more depends on the route tree, not the traits.
