Walker is a genuine outlier of mass and length: 6-7 and 331 pounds with 34¼-inch arms, built to two-gap and swallow double teams from a shade or 4i alignment. His best reps are pure leverage math — he extends into a guard's chest, locks him out with arms nobody else in the class owns, and walks the block into the pocket.
The trade-off is that everything depends on his pads. When he plays high — and at 6-7 he plays high often — centers and guards get under him and the same frame becomes a liability. His pass rush is power-first and plan-second; the counters are a work in progress, and his snap counts fluctuated with conditioning. A 2024 back issue muted the burst that made the 2023 tape special.

Walker is a size-and-length bet that scouts either loved or refused to touch. Three years at Kentucky produced 37 games, 131 tackles, 21 tackles for loss and 10 sacks, but the shape of that production tells you more than the totals.
The 2023 season was the sell: 55 tackles, 12.5 TFL and 7.5 sacks as a true sophomore interior lineman in the SEC, disruptive numbers from a body that big and that young. The 2024 season was the doubt: 11 games, 37 tackles, five TFL and 1.5 sacks, playing through a back problem on a Kentucky defense that had lost help around him. Teams had to decide whether the dip was health, weight, effort or all three, and the answer changed depending on which staff you asked.
The combine did not settle it either — 5.36 in the forty, a 25-inch vertical, testing that reads exactly like a 331-pound man. What it did confirm was the arm length and the hand size, the traits that let him control blocks even on days when the get-off is not there. The board slotted him in the fourth round as a high-variance run-defense specialist with a pass-rush ceiling nobody could price, and Buffalo took him at 109 for a defensive front that needed exactly that kind of body.

Buffalo got the good version immediately. Walker played all 17 games as a rookie and started 16 of them, posting 39 tackles, eight tackles for loss, four quarterback hits, a sack, four pass breakups and a fumble recovery on a Bills front that asked him to be the run-down anchor from day one. He made the PFWA All-Rookie team, and in the divisional round against Denver he picked off Bo Nix — a 331-pound interior lineman catching a ball at the line, which is precisely the bat-down radius the evaluation flagged.
In hindsight the 2024 dip looks like exactly what the optimists argued it was: a hurt player on a bad defense, not a talent problem. The pass-rush questions have not been answered — one sack across 16 starts is a run-defender's line, and the counter package is still thin — but the floor turned out to be far higher than a fourth-round grade implies. Buffalo bought a starting-caliber nose at pick 109 and got production in year one. The ceiling now depends on whether the hands catch up to the frame.
