Sorrell plays the edge like a technician who knows he has to earn every inch. He is quick off the ball for a 256-pounder but not sudden, so his first move is a hand strike — a long-arm to stack, a chop-rip to clear — rather than a pure speed rush. He converts speed to power against tackles who overset, and his hips are stiff enough that the corner is not a reliable win path.

Green Bay used him exactly the way the tape suggested. Sorrell debuted in Week 2 against Washington with a tackle and half a sack, worked as a rotational rusher behind the established starters all season, and got his first career start in Week 18 against Minnesota — where he posted eight tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery in his one extended look.
The full-season line, 15 tackles and 1.5 sacks, is a rotational rookie line, not a disappointment. What matters is that the Week 18 performance was the exact profile scouts wrote up: heavy in run defense, active in pursuit, and productive when the snap count went up.
