Thrash was a route-craft separator who lived as a flanker and big-slot in Louisville's spread, winning before the ball arrived. At 6-0, 188 he had no interest in wrestling for space; he stemmed, tempoed and leaned defenders off their landmarks, then snapped out of breaks with the quickness that made him a Senior Bowl one-on-one problem.
The secondary trait was tracking. He adjusted late over either shoulder and turned crossers into chunk plays with easy acceleration after the catch. In the run game he was a willing but light stalk blocker, and his 4.46 speed reads faster on tape than on the clock because of how cleanly he releases. The signature is tempo: he changes speeds mid-route better than almost anyone in his draft range.

Thrash entered the 2024 class as a fifth-year separator with a Group of Five breakout and a Power Four confirmation season, which is exactly the résumé Day 3 receiver rooms want. He is a technician first: releases, stems, and a nuanced sense of leverage that lets a slight frame play bigger than its listed weight.
The production told a clean story. He was Georgia State's featured target in 2022 with 60 catches for 1,110 yards and seven scores, then transferred to Louisville and immediately led a 10-win ACC Championship Game team with 63 receptions. The flags were physical, not technical. At 188 pounds he lost contested reps to physical corners, could be re-routed by press bullies, offered little as a blocker, and carried almost no special teams résumé into a rookie season he would begin at 23.
Boards had him around WR14 to WR22 in a historically deep receiver class, which in that class meant a fourth-to-fifth-round grade. Cleveland taking him at 156 was a sensible value call: a plug-and-play route runner for a room in transition, with the honest caveat that his ceiling was a complementary third option rather than a target earner.

Cleveland never found him a job. As a rookie in 2024 he dressed for nine games behind Amari Cooper, Jerry Jeudy, Elijah Moore and Cedric Tillman, and caught three of seven targets for 22 yards. Year two brought no jump: nine more games, 10 receptions for 107 yards, still no touchdown, still a body the offense turned to only when the room thinned out. He arrived at the 2026 camp fighting for the back of the roster and lost the fight in the worst way, waived with an injury designation on August 7, unclaimed on waivers and reverted to Cleveland's injured reserve a day later, with the injury itself never disclosed publicly.
The pre-draft flags are exactly what buried him. The route craft was real but the frame never filled out, the contested-catch limitation kept him off the field in the red zone, and the empty special teams résumé meant there was no second way to make the roster once the receiving snaps went elsewhere. Two seasons, 18 games, 13 catches, 129 yards. As a fifth-round swing the cost was low, but this is a miss, and the honest lesson is that a Day 3 receiver without core-four value has almost no margin.
