Robinson is a build-a-lineman body — 6-foot-5, 285 pounds, with the length and joint looseness to play anywhere from head-up on a guard to a wide nine. His football identity is force: he wants to take the tackle's chest, walk him backward and collapse the pocket from the inside out rather than run the arc around it.
The production arrived late and all at once. Four seasons inside produced modest counting numbers, then a position change in 2023 turned him into a first-team All-SEC player with 43 tackles, 14 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks in 12 games. He backed it up in Mobile, where he was the most disruptive defensive lineman at the Senior Bowl, and then ran 4.95 with a 35-inch vertical at the combine at nearly 290 pounds. Arizona used him exactly as advertised — inside on passing downs, on the edge in base — but availability got in the way first. A calf injury in training camp cost him the opening two months of 2024, and he returned to play only six games with nine tackles and a single sack, never getting a full offseason of pass-rush work as a rookie. Year two was the real look: 15 games, 12 starts, 41 tackles, four tackles for loss, one sack and a fumble recovery in 2025, tying for the team lead in tackles among defensive linemen while Arizona rotated him across the front.
The honest reading is that the run defense and versatility have translated and the pass rush has not, at least not yet. Two sacks in two seasons is thin for a first-round pick, and the counters he lacked in 2023 are still the thing separating him from a disruptive player. He is a functional, physical starter who fills a role well; whether he becomes the piece worth pick 27 depends entirely on whether the rush plan catches up to the body.
