Jordan Elliott is best projected to a one-gap 4-3 penetrating front that asks its defensive tackles to shoot gaps and disrupt the backfield.
As a rookie, he projects as a rotational interior pass rusher with upside to develop into a starting 3-technique.
He would be a poor fit in a two-gap 3-4 defense that asks defensive linemen to consistently hold the point of attack.
Elliott's explosiveness and short-area quickness make him an ideal fit for a penetrating defensive tackle role where he can utilize his burst to live in the opponent's backfield.
Selected #88 overall in Round 3 of the 2020 NFL Draft by Cleveland Browns out of Missouri.
