Collier projects best within a one-gap penetrating 4-3 defensive front or potentially as a 3-4 defensive end.
As a rookie, Collier could contribute as a rotational 3-technique or strong-side defensive end, with the potential to develop into a full-time starter who can consistently pressure the pocket and set the edge against the run.
He would be a poor fit in a two-gapping 3-4 front that asks him to hold ground and absorb blocks rather than penetrate.
Collier's power and disruptive traits are best utilized when he is allowed to attack gaps upfield and dictate the line of scrimmage.
Selected #29 overall in Round 1 of the 2019 NFL Draft by Seattle Seahawks out of TCU.
