Ferguson projects best in a 3-4 two-gap scheme that allows him to anchor against the run and occasionally rush the passer.
He can be a Day 1 rotational 5-tech with the ceiling to develop into a stout two-down starter against the run.
He would be a poor fit in a wide-9 attacking front due to his limited quickness and burst off the line.
