Fred Warner is an inside linebacker perfectly suited for a Cover-3 dominant scheme that prioritizes speed and coverage ability in the middle of the field.
Initially a key rotational piece and special teams contributor, he possesses the ceiling to develop into an All-Pro three-down linebacker leading a defense.
He would be a poor fit in a traditional 3-4 two-gap scheme where his primary responsibility is to consistently shed blocks against larger interior linemen.
