Thomas Duarte is an ideal fit for an Air Raid or spread RPO offense that leverages passing game concepts and creates opportunities for athletic pass-catching tight ends in space.
Year 1 as a rotational H-back and move tight end, with ceiling as a high-volume slot receiver.
He would be a poor fit for a run-heavy, traditional pro-style offense that asks its tight ends to be primary blockers at the line of scrimmage.
The Dolphins, with their existing offensive scheme and quarterback, could maximize his unique receiving skill set from the slot.
