The Browns typically run a 3-4 two-gap scheme, but occasionally blend in 4-3 concepts, providing flexibility.
Cooper can immediately contribute in a D-line rotation as a disruptive interior pass rusher and with development become a solid two-gap 3-4 DE.
A purely read-and-react 4-3 tackle scheme that asks him to hold his ground without penetrating would underutilize his skillset.
His athleticism and burst make him a good fit for a diverse defensive line that values quickness and disruption over pure bulk.
Selected #96 overall in Round 3 of the 2015 NFL Draft by Cleveland Browns out of Washington State.
