Randy Gregory's athleticism and pass-rushing skills are best utilized in a 4-3 attacking front that prioritizes speed and penetration from its linebackers.
Year 1: Situational pass rusher rotating in on obvious passing downs. Ceiling: Dynamic impact weak-side linebacker with 8-10 sack potential.
A traditional 3-4 two-gap scheme would diminish his value by requiring him to play with power and anchor against the run, which are not his primary strengths.
Gregory's twitch and bend make him a disruptive force off the edge, but his lighter frame and lack of true power will necessitate a scheme that leverages his pass-rushing prowess while minimizing his run-stuffing responsibilities.
Selected #60 overall in Round 2 of the 2015 NFL Draft by Dallas Cowboys out of Nebraska.
Relative Athletic Score (Kent Lee Platte) benchmarks combine/pro-day numbers against every measured prospect at the position since 1987. 10.00 is elite; 5.00 is average.
