Ferguson is best suited to a one-gap 4-3 penetrating front that asks its defensive tackles to shoot gaps and disrupt the backfield.
He can be an immediate rotational interior pass rusher with potential to develop into a starting three-technique.
A two-gapping 3-4 front would negate his penetration skills and ask him to hold the point, which is not his strength.
Ferguson's athleticism and burst make him a natural fit for a one-gap system where he can leverage his quickness against offensive linemen.
Selected #51 overall in Round 2 of the 2014 NFL Draft by Chicago Bears out of LSU.
