Kent State· 5'8"· 173 lb· 4.26s 40
Archer's exceptional speed and small stature makes him a prime candidate for a spread-to-run system that emphasizes misdirection, perimeter plays, and creating open space.
As a rookie, he projects to be an immediate contributor on special teams as a returner and a gadget player on offense with a ceiling as an Alvin Kamara-esque joker in a modern spread offense.
He would be marginalized in a traditional under-center, power-run scheme that asks backs to consistently run between the tackles.
His rare speed and elusiveness make him a versatile weapon, but his size limits his utility in conventional offensive structures.
Selected #97 overall in Round 3 of the 2014 NFL Draft by Pittsburgh Steelers out of Kent State.
Relative Athletic Score (Kent Lee Platte) benchmarks combine/pro-day numbers against every measured prospect at the position since 1987. 10.00 is elite; 5.00 is average.
