Chandler Jones is an ideal fit for an attacking 4-3 defense that prioritizes athletic defensive ends who can generate pressure with speed and bend off the edge.
Year 1 rotational pass rusher who can develop into a high-volume sack artist and cornerstone pass rusher for a 4-3 defense.
He would be a poor fit as a two-gap defensive end in a traditional 3-4 scheme, where his lighter frame and pass-rushing focus would be mismatched.
Jones's length, athleticism, and pass-rush moves make him a significant weapon for schemes that allow him to play downhill and attack the backfield.
Selected #21 overall in Round 1 of the 2012 NFL Draft by New England Patriots out of Syracuse.
