He is an ideal fit for an even-front, one-gap 4-3 penetrating scheme that prioritizes athletic defensive linemen who can disrupt offensive lines quickly.
As a rookie, he can contribute as a rotational 3-technique with a ceiling to develop into a starting penetrating defensive tackle.
He would be a poor fit in a two-gap 3-4 scheme where he would be asked to consistently anchor and hold the point of attack against double teams.
His quickness and good initial burst make him a disruptive force in a one-gap system, but his struggle with holding ground against power reduces his effectiveness in two-gap responsibilities.
