Barksdale projects best in a power run scheme that values physical, phone-booth blockers over athletic, zone-scheme technicians.
As a rookie, he projects as a backup RT with the potential to develop into a starting right tackle by his second year.
He would struggle in a pure outside zone blocking scheme due to his limited lateral agility and inconsistent footwork in space.
Barksdale is a powerful run blocker with a good frame, but his athleticism limits his versatility to specific schemes.
