Jerrel Jernigan projects best in a spread RPO or West Coast timing-based offense that prioritizes quick-hitting routes and YAC opportunities.
Initially a return specialist and gadget player, his ceiling is a productive slot receiver who can also contribute on reverses and screens.
He would struggle immensely in a traditional pro-style offense that asks receivers to consistently win contested catches or block extensively downfield.
Jernigan's value is maximized in schemes that leverage his exceptional quickness and elusiveness in space, rather than those requiring him to be a physical presence.
Selected #83 overall in Round 3 of the 2011 NFL Draft by New York Giants out of Troy.
