Ideally suited for a one-gap 4-3 penetrating front, leveraging his explosiveness and power to disrupt offensive lines.
Initially a rotational defensive end capable of spelling starters, with the upside to become a dominant every-down 4-3 DE by his second year.
A traditional 3-4 two-gap scheme would diminish his effectiveness by requiring him to absorb blocks rather than penetrate.
