McCoy is an ideal fit for an attacking, one-gap 4-3 penetrating front that prioritizes disruption and quickness over two-gapping and gap control.
He can immediately contribute as a starting 3-technique and develop into a perennial Pro Bowl interior pass rusher.
McCoy's value is diminished in a traditional 3-4 two-gap scheme where he would be asked to consistently hold the point of attack rather than penetrate.
