Everson Griffen's skill set is ideally suited for a base 4-3 defense that emphasizes aggressive, penetrating edge rushers.
He projects as an immediate rotational pass rusher who can eventually develop into a starting quality defensive end with double-digit sack potential.
He would be a poor fit in a 3-4 two-gap scheme where his primary responsibility would be holding the point of attack against multiple blockers.
His blend of size, speed, and burst makes him a formidable pass-rushing threat off the edge in a one-gap system.
Selected #100 overall in Round 4 of the 2010 NFL Draft by Minnesota Vikings out of USC.
Relative Athletic Score (Kent Lee Platte) benchmarks combine/pro-day numbers against every measured prospect at the position since 1987. 10.00 is elite; 5.00 is average.
